A group of similar claims or interests placed together under a Chapter 11 plan for purposes of voting on the plan. There are usually several classes of claims and interests under a plan, and each member of a class receives the same treatment of its claim or interest as the other members of that class (a class member may agree to different treatment, however). A class may consist of a single member.
