Reports filed in bankruptcy cases on a monthly basis by trustees and debtors in possession. Required in all Chapter 7 liquidations under Rule 2015(a), and the same rule requires such reports be filed in Chapter 11 cases when directed by the bankruptcy court. Bankruptcy courts have so directed across the nation by enactment of local rules that require debtors in possession to file monthly operating reports. Such reports are to include an inventory of property of the estate and a record of receipts and disbursements for the month.
