Attorneys, accountants and other professionals employed by the debtor to perform non-bankruptcy related services necessary or appropriate to the debtor’s ordinary business operations. Although it is generally thought that such professionals do not constitute the type of “professional persons” whose employment and compensation must be approved by the bankruptcy court, debtors nevertheless routinely file motions seeking the court’s permission to employ them.
