Claim asserted against the bankruptcy estate that is in dispute, either because it has been listed as disputed in the debtor’s schedules or because the claim has been objected to. The holders of disputed claims are not entitled to vote on a bankruptcy plan unless the claim is temporarily allowed by the bankruptcy court for voting purposes. Until a disputed claim is “allowed” by the court, the holder of the claim is not entitled to any distribution under the plan.
